Medicinal chemistry is the link between lab-based synthetic chemistry and the real听world of health care, prescription medicines, and pharmaceuticals.听
As a medicinal chemistry student, you鈥檒l learn about the entire process of听drug discovery 鈥 from lead generation and molecular optimisation through to听production, clinical approval and treatment. You will gain the knowledge and skills听to work at the front line of the pharmaceutical industry.

Recommended preparation
Year 13 chemistry is recommended preparation for first-year students, but for those who have had minimal preparation in chemistry, we offer听, an introductory Chemistry course.听
