Planning Enforcement, wherefore art thou?
This is the text of an enquiry sent by Forum Member Mike Parkes on December 2nd to the Planning Enforcement team at Torbay Council:
Alleged Breach Of Planning Control at:
Formation of Lidl Supermarket - Land West Of Kings Ash Road, Paignton, TQ3 3XF
Torbay Council Planning Application P/2020/0921
Would you please advise whether there has been a breach of planning control at the proposed Lidl Supermarket site on Kings Ash Road TQ3 3XF.
The consultation ended on 11 Nov 20 and, as yet, it is not known when this application will come before the Torbay Planning Committee.
Besides the Ward Councillors, I am also copying this email to 'Natural England' and the Devon 'Historic Environment Team' whose professional advice appears to have been somewhat ignored. (Their submissions can be found under the Documents tab of the Planning Application website and dated 30 Oct 20 and 10 Nov 20 respectively).
The attached photograph shows the potential damage that may have already been caused prior to this application coming before the Planning Committee.
The photograph above shows the damage that has already been done (hidden behind the hoardings).
