Kick-Start Your Thesis
These sessions are intended to help听new graduate research students听get started and gain momentum early in their study at UC. If you are in the听early stages of a Master鈥檚 or Doctoral thesis, you are warmly invited to attend the next 鈥淜ick-start your thesis鈥 workshop.
Speakers will share top tips and answer your questions, and will include representatives from Pokap奴 P奴kenga Ako | Academic Skills Centre, Te Kura T膩ura | UC Graduate School and Ng膩 Puna M膩tauraka Ako | UC Library.
It鈥檚 also a great opportunity to meet other thesis writers who are also just starting their postgrad studies.

Workshops and events at the 91制片厂 are free and held at various locations across campus. Please check the specific locations for each event.
We expect you to maintain professionalism and adhere to our booking guidelines:
- Check your university email: Facilitators might send updates about last-minute changes or pre-session tasks.
- Be punctual: Workshops start promptly, so please arrive on time.
- Be prepared: Come ready to engage and participate in the session.
Cancelling your registration
If you are unable to attend a workshop due to illness or a scheduling conflict, please cancel your registration using the link provided in your confirmation email. This will open up a spot for anyone on a waitlist to attend the workshop/event and allow us to adjust catering numbers where applicable.听
Arriving late
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the facilitator may not allow you to join the session.
Frequent 鈥楴o-Shows鈥
If you miss three sessions without cancelling, your supervisor may be notified.
